Record Keeping

Workout from January 14th

As many of you have noticed things are growing and evolving here at Emergent Fitness. This Monday we set a record with 16 people in for classes throughout the day. With this increase its becoming more difficult for me to track your daily results in a useful manner. Many of you were already recording all your scores in your personal journals and I commend you for that effort. A journal is essential for sustained self-improvement.

I will now be encouraging you all to record your results in your own journals. You are welcome to leave your journals at the gym and if you do not have a suitable notebook I will give you one. Over the next few days I will give some tips during class on the format of your journals and things to record.

Finally, I am building several new tools for us to use to track the bigger milestones of our ever improving fitness community. Stay tuned!

I see improvements everyday on your website. Looking at my log from yesterday, however, was a bit sobering to see I only did 3/7ths of Rx with the cleans and swings–ouch. The crossfit blog is getting too big and hope your troops get involved with yours.
