Think its too cold to ride your bike? Check out Ayn and friends in Yellowstone on their bike tour through Oregon in June! Speaking of biking does anyone have any suggestions on a good commuter bicycle? My mountain bike has been out commission since Eric kicked my butt on a ride early this summer. I plan to fix it but I’d like something a little more commuter friendly to get me back and forth to the gym.
What is this? A WOD posted the night before, and it includes burpees? Hopefully my snooze button is broken.

I have to leave early to help out at the Level II in Golden tomorrow so I figured an early blog post was better than none at all.
Wasn’t it some guy with a name like yours that suggested this burpee challenge thing? If you add up the reps in this WOD you’ll find they match.
I won’t give you too much grief, my burpee debt has become illiquid and I’m hoping to sell it to the highest bidder.

Yes Jeff, I LOVE Burpees! Often I can’t sleep because I am hoping in anticipation that Burpees await me at 6 in the morning, I am so excited that I can’t sleep, I often dream of burpees, but the pre-post WOD somehow ruined the surprise. Instead of dreaming of burpees I had a nightmare that the 100 day burpee challenge would never end and somehow it was all my fault and that everyone at Emerfit hated me because of the perpetual burpee and I had to quit Emerfit and join Globo-Gym and be forced to wait at the arm-curl machine while some pretty-boy in spandex kept watching his biceps flex in the mirror. Thank God my alarm woke me from this nightmare and I was able to join the 71 burpee fun today. Life is good!
And Ayn, I have no good answer for you, expect that I was watching videos of burpees last night, and thought I would surf over to Emerfit to see if Jeff had a “how-to” video of burpees and I found the WOD posted and my night spiraled out of control from there. The sad thing is it was actually 930 PM, not 830 PM. There is a time stamp issue somewhere. (Let’s see if I’m right, it’s now 10:53 on my computer).
for a good, inexpensive commuter bike, go visit the fort collins bike co-op. Rafael built my single speed commuter to fit, from the ground up, for $75 and it hasn’t failed me yet.
the format might be different now than when I got mine, but they are super friendly, so just drop them a line.

Hooray for the bike co-op! They’re on Laporte and Mason now, with their own shop rented from the city. quality stuff, nice people. As long as you don’t have your heart set on new stuff, that’s always the place to go for bike stuff. Hey, maybe they’d build you a skid trailer for a bike, then we could have weighted bicycle pulling around the parking lot!
