20 minutes max rounds:

  • 15 Hang Power Cleans at 60% of yesterday’s max
  • Row 250m

Watch a similar WOD in CrossFit.com’s “Hot Mama Clean/Pullup WOD” [wmv][mov] WARNING: The music they selected is not work or family safe.

Many of you have improved your olympic lifts by leaps and bounds in the last six months. As your coaches we are excited to see so many of you “getting it.” Jenni has been patiently working on not pulling early in the down and up of both her clean and her snatch. In today’s WOD she pulled at the right time in most of her reps. Check out her improvements in the video below.

    Great job, Jenni!

Are the pictures from last Saturday fun workout posted somewhere?

  3. Eric says:

Jenni you did a good job!
Chris, you did too. The video highlights what you talked about at Saturday’s Lecture. The value of coaching is evident in the video, the improvement is obvious when watching the video, but what is not obvious is the attention to detail from the coaches. Some of these moves happen so fast that the untrained eye does not notice them. The coaches rock @ Emerfit. The video was done well, this is another value of working out at Emerfit, video evidence of improvement as well as teaching & training. The only video I am aware of at Globo qym is whatever channel they have the TV turned to to keep you from being bored during your workout there.

Cat, that crazy photo of Eric on the blog was from Saturday. I’ll post a couple more tomorrow. There is a group shot with you in it. Where you looking for a particular photo?

Eric, thanks for your comments. I have been really excited to teach the Oly lifts these last few weeks due to all the improvements you guys have made. When did a bunch of Oly work back in May and June that was kind of a struggle I think because the moves were so new to all of you.

I really like using video to show off what you guys are doing and to help you learn. More video is one of our priorities right now that we have knocked a few other things off our constant improvement list.
