“Tabata This”

Tabata Intervals ( 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest repeated 8 times) is applied in turn to the Squat, Rower, Pullups, Sit-ups, and Push-ups with a one minute rotation break between exercises.

Each exercise is scored by the weakest number of reps (calories on the rower) in each of the eight intervals. During the one minute rotation time allowed the clock is not stopped but kept running. The score is the total of the scores from the five stations.

  • The holiday party is tomorrow night at InnerStrength. RSVP by phone, email or web if you haven’t already. We are planning to have pizza from Positano’s so if you don’t dig pizza plan accordingly.

  • And while we’re about to have pizza at our holiday party the folks at CrossFit NorCal write about the aftermath of holiday food on good paleo-eating crossfitting folk.
  • Finally, if you had 30 minutes for some entertaining inspiration watch the video of Benjamin Zander via Presentation Zen. My financial planner gave me Zander’s book in December last year and it changed the way I think about the world. I think you’ll understand why from watching the video. Also think about his advice about mistakes the next time you are trying to learn some complicated CrossFit move. A missed muscle up? How fascinating!

    Take note. I know that young girl and it won’t be long before she is challenging you on all the CF workouts. She already has better cardio ability than Chris or I.

    Just wanted to thank the gym staff for putting together the xmas event. It was a blast, specially for me since I’ve never done anything like that before…since is so 90′s lol
