The Workouts That Never Were

Due to our inability to go outside thanks to the snow and mud we eliminated the 2,500 meter Row and the kettlebell overhead throw. The throw would have been fun to get in but we were glad we ended up nuking the row. It would have been too much for one day. The Closer was meant to be a 15 minute max rounder with a 200 meter run after the step-ups but the mud would have been too dangerous and messy. I think most people were happy with the shorter final workout.

Wrap Up

The bobbing for apples seemed like a hit. It was as well received as last year’s mini free throws. Which means next year its going to be even harder to come up with something zanny. Dizzy bat, anyone? An in-costume workout? Who knows what 2012 will bring!

More photos and videos of Saturday’s events will be posted soon.

Thanks to everyone who participated: competitors, volunteers, and spectators.

Next year we hope to either be in a bigger space or host the games in another venue. We hope to see you all there!
