“Chris’s excellent coaching took me to a new level of confidence and strength with kettlebells. The difficulties I had with form disappeared under his expert attention to detail, and after only four or five meetings, I had blown away all my previous personal records and moved on to a heavier KB. I can’t recommend him highly enough.” Shawn H. of Fort Collins, April 2008.

“As a 50+ year old physically active male, I was getting frustrated with some long term back pain and the length of time it was taking me to recover from a hamstring injury. My activities were running, swimming, cycling and aerobics but no weight lifting. A fitness center employee recommended I work on improving core strength and recommended Chris as a personal trainer. Chris introduced me to free weights and other exercises that have greatly reduced my back pain and increased my flexibility. He’s given me knowledge I plan to use the rest of my physically active life.” -Jamie Rubin of Fort Collins. October 2007.

“I had been doing Crossfit WOD’s regularly before attending Chris’s classes, but with his help my fitness improved immensely. Chris’s knowledge of the Crossfit system is excellent. He teaches students to execute the exercise movements properly – before workout weight and speed are considered – making the learning curve much faster and safer.

With Chris’s coaching I was able to make huge strength gains without gaining size. For my athletic endeavors, climbing, mountaineering, cycling and skiing; possessing a high strength to weight ratio is imperative. While working with Chris I became stronger and leaner and when coupled with my continued endurance training I’m in the best shape of my life.

I would highly recommend working with Chris if serious fitness is your goal.” -Jeremy Rietmann of Fort Collins. July 2007.

“Hi Chris,
This is a testimonial to your expert personal training skills. Your flexibility and knowledge to help address my personal issues was reassuring and made me comfortable after several years of avoiding the problems. The
detailed and personal solutions you developed to address my concerns will help me with a long term achievable plan for improved fitness and flexibility. Thanks for very much for your help and patience.” - Patti Meuwissen of Fort Collins. July 2007.

“My wife and I recently learned about kettlebells through a mutual friend. We are both very active (she is in the police academy and I am an Army Reserve officer) and thought that this would be a great way to add some variety and flexibility to our workout schedules. I was originally referred to Chris through Crossfit Denver and am extremely glad that we trained with him. He is an amazing instructor and was able to tailor his instruction to meet both of our needs. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is interested in either a Crossfit program or in kettlebells and look forward to continuing to learn from him in the future.”
Jeff Wood, of Denver, Colorado. February 2007.

“I attended Chris Brown’s Kettlebell Level 1 and Level 2 Seminar at CrossFit Denver. It was the first time I had formal instruction to kettlebells and Chris taught the content in a methodical and concise way. He trimmed all the excess fat off the material and left us with a good and straightforward progression of kettlebells that was fortified with interesting anecdotes and stories of training with Pavel and CrossFit. He is proof that the two methodologies work perfectly together and has propogated that onto a new form of training for me. I genuinely love kettlebells now and how it is a different machine than the metabolic conditioning and strength resistance training of my regular regimen. Today in fact i did the 200 swing challenge with my 1 Pood KB and as I type this my lower back and glutes are on fire (in a good way of course!) Chris is a good teacher and conveys kettlebell training in a great delivery! If you get a chance, train with this man.”

“Chris is a great coach. Good at listening to what you are trying to accomplish and basic in his approach to getting you there. I wish he lived closer.”
Bill Nicholson of Salt Lake City, Utah. November 2006

“Chris put on an outstanding Kettlebell seminar at Crossfit Denver! He established a quick and friendly rapport with our group of students, gave clear instructions, keenly observed our progress and offered great suggestions to each of us. This was my first ever workout with Kettlebells, and very enjoyable. Chris is a truly excellent coach!”
-Matt Henderson of Lafayette, Colorado. May 2006

“I came to kettlebell training through my sister and brother-in-law after visiting with them in Salt Lake City. Their guest bedroom is in their gym, and I tripped over these big iron balls at night on my way to the bathroom, which I found out were their latest favorite training tool, kettlebells.

My interest was piqued, and my brother-in-law found Chris Brown’s name on the Dragon Door website. I gave Chris a call, and set up my first kettlebell training session. While not overly complicated or intricate to learn, it is critical to learn proper form in the various lifts to prevent injury, and I found Chris to be a patient and observant instructor. His attention to detail and professionalism were immediately obvious to me when I received my first workout and training schedule from him via e-mail just hours after our first meeting. When learning anything new, your brain can have sensory overload and miss important information, and Chris has provided great follow-up summaries and training tips, and he is always checking in to see what my training goals are and tries to tailor the workouts to those goals. My weight training history has been spotty at best as traditional weight lifting did not hold my attention, but I am enjoying the varied workouts Chris has put together with the kettlebells, and I look forward to seeing how I progress in functional strength under his guidance. ”

“I was fortunate enough to be one of the first individuals to train under Chris’ kettlebell instruction, and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. He was able to create custom workouts for me that addressed my goals as well as my present fitness level.

I’ve told many people, I’d never had a more complete workout in such a short period of time as when I was working out with kettlebells under his instruction. He was also able to keep things fresh by constantly varying the workouts. This surprised me — in the beginning I didn’t think there were a whole lot of different things you could do with kettlebells, and boy was I wrong!

Having always followed the typical ad-hoc/beauty workout in the past (bench, curls, squats, etc.), I was surprised at how much stronger I felt and how much more practical my strenths improvements were in my day-to-day life. I highly recommend kettlebells and Chris as your trainer if you are tired of the typical workout and serious about improving your fitness level!”
-Brad Klein, Kettlebell Enthusiast. Windsor, Colorado.

“We have partnered with Chris on numerous occasions to teach kettlebell lifting classes in the Denver area. Chris is soft-spoken, but don’t be fooled! He possesses tremendous strength and the kind of subtle insight into kettlebell lifting that will help you improve the fine points of your technique and take your strength and performance to a higher level.”
